Charlotte & Dave's Country Wedding at Lifton in Devon

In deepest west-Devon the wedding of Charlotte and Dave took place at the gorgeous Stowford Church tucked away in a tiny hamlet. A part of Devon I am already familiar with having once lived at nearby Lydford it was a treat to be back in the area this time as a wedding photographer. After a moving church ceremony, where the enormity of the occasion hit Dave when he first caught sight of beautiful Charlotte walking up the aisle (& caused everyone else to shed a tear) it was off to Dave’s family farm for the celebrations. Everyone was taken by surprise on arrival at a short, sharp downpour - unexpected as the rest of the country, and indeed county, where bathed in glorious sunshine, however it wasn’t long before the rain dispersed and outdoor fun began with earnest. Highlights of the day included; Dave’s reaction as Charlotte walked down the aisle - it was all the more moving it being about just the two of them at that moment; everyone’s reaction at the mini-cloud-burst, never seen folk run so fast; the reception location; the excellent bands for the day - The Busketeers and The Vibes, whom I’ve photographed in the past; our little escapade with some very curious cows - well handled by Charlotte! Dave and Charlotte, it was great fun capturing your big day and I wish you every happiness in your married lives together.
