Laura and Ben's Devon Wedding at Tunnels Beaches

Every Devon wedding photographer hopes to shoot a wedding at the gorgeous Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe, it’s renowned for its beautiful coastal outlook and tidal pool that casts reflections in the sun, you might think that a really rainy Devon day therefore would be bad news, but oh no! Moody tones, and Poldark-esque romance aplenty that suits the rugged North Devon coast so well, and rain was what greeted Laura and Ben on their wedding day at Tunnels but rain didn’t mean end of play (and of course rain on your wedding day is deemed good luck). Laura and Ben embraced the weather, even braving it for a soggy stroll on the beach in the mizzle for a bit of alone time to reflect on their union. Highlights of the day included: Laura and Ben’s warmth with each other, it was clear to see how much love they have for each other; Laura’s little niece going from tears to laughter in 2 seconds flat as soon as she got to play with her flower wand; the boisterous singing whilst the boys were all getting ready; Laura’s gorgeous dress; Ben and Laura’s laughter, echoed by their friendly and fun friends and family; watching Laura and Ben practise their first dance on the beach; the heartfelt ceremony - even though it couldn’t be outdoors, the floor to ceiling windows were flung open to allow the feeling of being an open air ceremony; that food - Tunnels Beaches always puts on the most amazing spread; the split-second, foggy sunset - answering Laura and Ben’s dreams of a sunset beach wedding; the dance floor moves - everyone looked like they were having such a blast! Laura, Ben, I wish the two of you every happiness in your married lives together - and have an amazing adventure on your epic honeymoon!
