Alex and Kate's Summer Wedding at Langdon Court, Devon

It is funny but in 5 years of being a Devon wedding photographer this was my first wedding to photograph at Langdon Court which is five minutes down the road from my house, which was of course, very exciting as not only is it beautiful but it meant a very short journey home! After the torrential rain the day before the skies cleared out and the sun came out for Alex and Kate’s wedding. Fresh off the plane from the United Emirates they were treated to weather whilst not quite as warm as they are used to, at least as sunny! It was a beautifully relaxed wedding with a moving ceremony and then drinks out in the garden. Highlights of the day: Kate’s niece being one very excited flower-girl; the mega-grins between Kate and Alex when they saw each other at the end of the aisle; the beautiful weather; the moment in the taxi between Kate and her Nan; Alex’s beautiful speech; realising that my piano teacher from my youth was at the ceremony and had also taught Kate as well as many of the guests; the food - Langdon Court always does delicious food; the band who were brilliant; Alex and Kate’s super relaxed vibe. Alex, Kate - it was an absolute pleasure to photograph your big day and I wish you both many happy years together!
