Lucy & Guy's Sunny Devon Wedding
/There is something particularly glorious when you're preparing to shoot a wedding in the rain and then it unexpectedly clears into the most gorgeously sunny (if a little windy) early summer's day. Guy and Lucy's Devon wedding turned out to be one of those such occasions! I was so pleased for them that the clouds cleared and they were able to fully enjoy the gorgeous surroundings at their wedding venue at Sharpham House, Devon. You know you are onto a winning wedding when it features (in no particular order) appearances from; cats, dogs, sunshine, plenty of dancing and; lots and lots of laughter. Lucy and Guy's big day certainly ticked all of those boxes! From the moment I first met them at Lucy's family home in Devon, I could tell this relaxed and cheerful pair were going to be a joy to shoot, and I wasn't wrong. Entertained in the run-up by a sneaky moggy trying to subtly edge towards the smoked salmon, and Esther the Collie's excitement to see Lucy's mum at the church, a beautiful (and packed) ceremony then followed in the historical church in Cornworthy, Devon. One of the most notable things about Lucy and Guy's wedding was how much laughter there was, amongst their friends and family, and most of all between each other - it can be pretty infectious, and even managing to give myself a black eye by dropping a flash unit on my face (yes, I am that clumsy) didn't get in the way of having fun behind the camera - especially once the epic dancing began! Lucy, Guy - your wedding was beautiful, I wish you both many, many more years of love, laughter and happiness together as man and wife.
