Amy and Lewis Magical Devon Garden Wedding at Hayne
/It might seem a strange thing to say, having lived in Devon most of my life, but since becoming a wedding photographer, boy has it been the most amazing way to keep uncovering gem, after gem of hidden Devon charms! Once such place is Hayne, set in the rural hills of Devon the venue offers a 17th century threshing barn and a gorgeous walled garden in which weddings can take place. After a slightly drizzly start to the day, the sun decided to peek from behind the clouds just in time for Amy and Lewis to get wed in the enchanted walled cottage garden, with their little boy taking on ring bearing duty with great aplomb! He was extremely pleased later in the day when it transpired that he’d be given his very own ring! Amy and Lewis were surrounded by their friends and family, in a friendly and fun celebration of their day, not forgetting Amy’s much loved late Mum, who was given her own special part in the day with a round of pernod and coke to toast her memory and a beautiful candle that burned bright though-out. After some delicious feasting provided by Posh Nosh everyone was ready to dance the night away to local band Land of the Giants. Highlights of the day included: Hayne - what a beautiful place; the sun coming out so that Amy & Lewis could marry outside in the Devon countryside; the flower girls and all their grinning; the moment Amy & Lewis gave the ring to their son; the photo-booth props that Amy & Lewis set-up being a big hit with the kids as soon as they appeared; the coincidental war-plane fly past; all the laughter and love in the room. Amy, Lewis - I wish you and your little family the very best of happiness for your married lives together!
