Christabel and George’s glorious wedding at the Georgian Splendour that is Hamswell House

Leaving a very soggy Devon behind I drove up towards Bath to photograph the wedding of Christabel and George. The rain drops en-route were the size of golf-balls rebounding from the tarmac with such force that the road immediately became obliterated beneath the spray. I was hoping with all my might that the weather would clear up for Saturday’s wedding, and clear up it did! Christabel and George were treated to unexpected (albeit chilly) sunshine and a glorious wedding day. Highlights of the day included: the picturesque villages that the wedding prep took place in; Christabel and her bridesmaid’s tangible excitement about the day ahead; the beautiful flower-lined path up to the church in Marshfield; a rather fabulous classic car; the view from Hamswell House; being treated to some lovely golden sunshine at the end of the day; the warm welcome from everyone at the wedding; perfectly-timed-with-the-music confetti cannon during the first dance; George and his best man’s reversible waist-coats, very snazzy! Christabel, George, it was such a fun day shooting your wedding and I wish you both the very happiest of married lives together!
