Claire and Andy’s Summer North Devon Wedding at Ash Barton Estate in Braunton

It was my second time photographing a wedding this year at the beautiful Ash Barton House in Braunton, North Devon. It’s always a treat to be up that way as I have close family in North Devon so it is a place I love to visit. Not wanting to brag, but once again my luck with the weather held fast and sunshine appeared between the inclement not-flaming-June days and allowed Claire and Andy to get married outdoors in the idyllic wild-flower meadow on the estate, with Claire getting to walk up possibly the world’s longest (and prettiest) aisle. Highlights of the day included; Claire’s gorgeous dress with its many layers (and surprising fly-catching abilities ); all the Scottish accents – can’t beat them; that wild-flower meadow, just gorgeous; the 15 or so cakes in place of just one – such a good idea, with many guests bringing along their own creation; the drinks reception in the pretty walled garden; it being a beautifully sunny Devon day; Claire and Andy’s sense of fun. Claire, Andy – it was a real pleasure to photograph your wedding day and I wish you both a long and happy marriage.
