Fearn & Toni's Beautiful but Bitterly Cold Devon 'Spring' Wedding
/Wow, well gearing up to photograph my first Devon wedding of 2018, a spring wedding, I hadn't been expecting to be packing shovel and blankets into my car in case of snowfall! Last time it snowed in Devon this late in March was the year I was born, was it a sign? Was the world ending?! Apocalypse theories disbursed, I was mighty glad i'd at least remembered to throw a pair of fingerless gloves into my car before setting off to the quaint Devon seaside town of Sidmouth for Fearn and Toni's big day. Snow falling heavily en route, could it be a beachside white-wedding? Unfortunately (although fortunately for travel purposes) the snow decided it wasn't to settle, easing off by the afternoon and allowing Toni and Fearn's wedding day to proceed without a hitch. What a wonderful wedding it was to start off my 2018 season too!
Together for 10 years, Fearn and Toni happily declared their union in front of their closest friends and family in an intimate ceremony at Lady Margaret's Chapel, before heading back to Sidmouth Harbour Hotel for their reception. The immensely brave pair even wanting to spend a few minutes beside the sea yesterday. The temperature was -1 degrees celsius! BRR!! Luckily it wasn't long before we were able to get back inside to warm up, find feeling in our hands again and enjoy feasting, laugher, some fabulous speeches and what turned out to be some pretty epic dancing to finish the night! Fearn, Toni, thank you so much for making my first wedding of the year so enjoyable, and a huge thank you for your very sweet, thoughtful and unexpected gift :). I wish the two of you many, many more years of happiness together as a wedded couple.
