Jenny and Chris's Gorgeous Devon Marquee Wedding

With winter on the horizon, my last assignment for 2019 as a wedding photographer in Devon was to photograph the marriage and wedding celebrations of the very lovely Jenny and Chris. When I pulled up at the family home where Jenny was getting ready, and where the reception would later be held, it was a hive of activity, anticipation and pulling together all the finishing touches of what was set to be a crisp sunny autumnal wedding, the morning’s monsoon like down-pours pleasingly having seemed to have continued onto their next destination. Jenny’s two little flower girls were certainly leading the way on the excitement front, ensuring that everyone was getting suitably dressed up (I was even asked if I would be changing into “proper wedding shoes”, no detail left unattended by these two!). Jenny looked ethereally elegant in her wedding gown, and it was off to Bickleigh church for the ceremony followed by a guard of honour with Chris’s Naval colleagues, all looking rather splendid in their uniforms! Hopping into a growling Maserati it was a swift cruise down the road to enjoy toasting the happy couple in the gorgeous marquee set up by Blue Fizz Events, with Jenny’s Dad as Head Chef for the day. Highlights of the day included: the flower-girls and their excited buzz at having such important roles; Jenny’s beautiful dress; Chris’s face as he got to go behind the wheel of the Maserati; the food - even homemade petit fours by Jenny’s very talented Dad and his team; the marquee and beautiful garden set-up; the stunning flowers made by Chris and Jenny’s family; the celebrations that went on into the night including sabering the champagne bottle! Jenny, Chris - it was an absolute delight to be able to photograph your beautiful marquee wedding and I wish the two of you every happiness in your wedded future together.
