After a week of rain breaking into the summer weather it looked like Katie and Steve’s big day might be rather soggy, but nature decided it wanted to bless them with an unexpected and most welcome return to summer. After a relaxed start to the day getting ready in the South Devon village of Ugborough, Katie and Steve’s friends and family gathered at the village’s imposing church to celebrate their union. One of deep love and comfort found in the face of huge loss, thoughts were never far away from the much loved person who had shaped their lives. This was reflected across the day in the incredibly moving speeches, it was a day of reflection, contemplation, remembrance, joy, love and a day of celebrating making the most of seizing the moment no matter what path life lays out for us. Katie and Steve's wedding was a joy to photograph with the love and good humour between them, and their loved ones, clear to see as they partied away during their reception at the beautiful Devon wedding venue Shilstone House, hidden deep in some of the most beautiful rolling and lush Devon countryside. Katie, Steve - I wish you both the very best of happiness for your married future together.
