Abigail and Emily's Somerset Wedding - Preview

Well, helllooo spring! The Somerset wedding of Abigail and Emily was glorious in more ways than just the weather. I first met the happy couple when photographing one of my earlier weddings on a  trip from Devon up to Somerset, Abs and her family owned the land on which the wedding reception for the lovely Lauren and Jake was held. Abigail's dad had been a big help on the day letting me use their cherry picker for an overhead shot and a family photograph that i'd taken at that wedding reception led them to contact me sometime later when they'd begun planning a wedding of their own. Naturally I was overjoyed when Abs and Em asked me to be their wedding photographer, I love little connections like this, especially when this time it was the turn of Jake and Lauren to become guests - seeing one of my past couples celebrate the new vows of guests from their wedding is always lovely. Both Abs and Em looked absolutely beautiful in their gorgeous dresses, both kept a secret from each other until the big day and revealed to friends and family, and each other as they walked down a packed aisle.

And so back to that amazing weather; leaving behind an equally sunny Devon I travelled up to the Quantocks in Somerset where we couldn't have dreamt of better for an early spring day; bathed in glorious sunshine framed by a magical sunset over the scenic Quantock Hills Abs and Em found a swing (designed for giants methinks) on which to clamber and enjoy taking in the (slightly fresher than it looked) spring air and their first few moments alone as newlyweds.

Congratulations Abs and Em, wishing you every happiness for your married life together!
