Deanne & Dan's Magical Devon Winter Wedding

Tucked away on the fringes of Dartmoor in Devon, Deanne and Dan’s winter wedding took place at the Elfordleigh Hotel near Plymouth. Now the awesome thing is, Deanne and Dan didn’t care one bit about the rainy day - in fact, they were quite hoping we would see some rain so that they could pop outside with their brollies after dark as they loved backlit rain shots (couple shots sometimes end up getting creative when it is dark and rainy weather!). With both displaying an impressive level of calmness in the morning,  things soon turned a bit emotional once Deanne’s Dad popped upstairs to see how Deanne was getting on. It always feels quite a privilege to be witnessing and capturing such close and emotional moments between families, the magic of weddings is that they can open us all up to being free with all the feelings and admiration for our loved ones that can sometimes be left unsaid day to day. This is something I particularly love about documentary wedding photographer, capturing these little slices of magic in people’s lives. After a beautiful ceremony with lots of smiles and laughter, Deanne and Dan’s family wasted no time in getting to work celebrating the happy couple’s union; the speeches at time side-splitting, and the dance-floor showing some serious action. Deanne and Dan - I wish you both every happiness for your married lives together!
