It’s always a little extra special to be asked to photograph the wedding of someone with whom there has been some personal link, and the wedding of Chloe and Lee was no exception. Chloe and my sister had been good friends as teenagers back in Devon, and Chloe, now based near Bristol, had come across my work via the wonderful medium of social media. After bonding over our mutual appreciation of cats, I was really looking forward to setting off from Devon to photograph Chloe and Lee’s big day. After a relaxed morning getting ready together at home with their daughter Betsy and cat Jurgy, it was off to the ceremony at Leigh Court, where the couple had first met and were now to marry in the grand splendour of the Great Hall before taking a stroll down to the woods where Lee had proposed to Chloe. After celebrating the ceremony with their nearest and dearest it was off to nearby West Gordano for a reception in an awesome Tipi pub back-garden. Highlights of the day included; Betsy’s excitement at her involvement in the day; Chloe’s mum’s beautiful cake; Jurgy, their lovely moggy, popping in looking slightly wary during the getting ready; Chloe’s beautiful dress; that ceremony room; the tipi pub garden; seeing Chloe and Lee say their vows. Chloe, Lee, it was fabulous to be able to photograph your wedding and I wish you every happiness in your married future together!
