Harriet & Daniel's Outdoor Summer Cornish Wedding

As a wedding photographer it is alway a privilege to photograph and explore many different destinations in Devon and beyond, it is also lovely sometimes to return to familiar wedding venues and so for the second time in a week I was departing my home in Devon to photograph a wedding at the gorgeous Cornish wedding venue, Trevenna Barns. I love Trevenna, the location is beautiful, the staff are always so friendly and the food is great! Anyway, less about my dinner! On to photographing the wonderful wedding of Harriet and Daniel. Their dreams of an outdoor summer ceremony were met as the rainy Cornish weather kindly departed an hour or so shy of their ceremony. Decked in some of the most beautiful flower arrangements I have seen, Harriet and Daniel, after a calm if slightly nerve-inducing morning getting ready, wed under the arbour at Trevenna watched by their family and friends. Both bride and groom had such a calm and relaxed manner and it was lovely to watch them exchange little smiles to each other once the initial nerves had been overcome. As the day progressed, the sun shone and an evening of playing games out in the garden, followed by some amazing ceilidh dancing and, possibly unbeknown to Harriet and Daniel as they danced the night away, their evening being topped off by an explosion of meteor showers over the Cornish skies above their heads. What a magical way to end their day! Highlights of the wedding day as the wedding photographer: Everyone's expressions as they opened their wedding favour - a certificate of adoption of a Cornish lobster, what a brilliant idea; listening to Harriet's dad's speech about her route to becoming a vet (previous wannabe career path for me before I realised I wasn't too hot at science); Harriet's beautiful necklace made by her talented sister, Rowan; the raucous evening garden games in the sunshine; Trevenna's lucky black cat making another appearance; some of the most epic ceilidh dancing in a tightly packed space seen-to-date; and of course - realising that there was a meteor shower occurring on my drive back to Devon! Harriet, Daniel - thank you for being such a lovely couple to photograph, I wish you ever happiness in your future as man and wife.
