Hi, i'm Amy! 

I am an award-winning creative reportage wedding photographer based in the (sometimes) sunny and (always) beautiful Southwest of England (South Devon, to be precise) and one of the 30 Rising Stars of wedding photography in the world. I contemplated telling you the story of how I’ve enjoyed photography since a young age and how it’s a passion that has developed with me throughout life (which it has) but instead I thought you’d probably prefer to read about what makes my photography unique amongst a wealth of Devon wedding photographers. 

A FAVOURITE THING ABOUT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY? DOCUMENTING AUTHENTIC CONNECTIONS

I studied photography as part of my degree, exhibiting and selling photographs in local galleries before becoming a music photographer; photographing festivals and press/promo shoots for musicians such as Mad Dog Mcrea and Land of the Giants.

Two of my favourite things (apart from cats, travel and chocolate) are; observing the beauty in the world around us and; capturing the atmosphere of people enjoying themselves; so for me it was a natural progression marrying the two together (pardon the pun) to become a wedding photographer.

No staid, staged and overly formal photography here. Instead I bring to your wedding friendly, unobtrusive documentary style photography. Utilising my skill for capturing tangible atmosphere, injecting observations with an artistic flair and post-processing your images individually with my signature style, I promise to deliver to you a set of photographs that will allow you to relive your wedding day as if you were there again, living and breathing it, with all the details in-between. I aim to do all this whilst remaining a quiet, calm, friendly and unobtrusive part of your day (available for last minute provision of chewing gum, dress adjustment and mirror checks when required). 

I also have a huge passion for travel, so if you live overseas, or are planning to wed overseas then drop me a line, I have photographed both destination engagement shoots and weddings in exotic destinations (when shooting a wedding in Singapore- drink LOTS of water!).

What excites me most about photographing your wedding whether it be in my home county of Devon, the rest of the UK or further afield is the infectious buzz of being wrapped up in all the heady anticipation of all the beautiful, funny, unexpected and emotional visual legacies that I am about to create for you. From the moment I get home to my cosy place at the end of your wedding day; be it a reasonable hour or the depths of the night, I am compelled to upload all of your wedding photographs before I go to sleep, just so that I can have a peek. The kick I get from seeing the moments I’ve captured is what drives me. I hope my images are what drives you to contact me.
